Job summary

Canlan Sports is seeking a proactive janitor to perform janitorial and minor maintenance duties across our sports complex and grounds. You will clean facilities, assist with small repairs, and support ice maintenance during peak periods.

We value hands-on individuals with strong teamwork and communication who are able to work evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts in a fast-growing environment. Prior building service experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Completed high school education or equivalent is an asset.
• Valid driver’s license an asset.
• Building Service Worker Certificate (BC).
• Previous experience as a commercial buildings janitor preferred.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and call outs.
• Approachable and team oriented with great communication skills (verbal and written).

Responsibilities

• Perform general janitorial and maintenance tasks in accordance with local building and fire codes.
• Ensure entrances, grounds, and parking lot are kept clean, clear and safe.
• Grass cutting and edging.
• Seasonal snow and debris removal.
• Maintain checklists, records and reports with respect to: window cleanliness and parking lot/property cleaning.
• Perform vacuuming, auto scrubbing, waxing and buffing in line with established floor care procedures.
• Assist with minor maintenance as required.
• Assist in Ice Maintenance during peak periods, short staffing or as required.

Rate of Pay: $15.50 - $16.75/ hour
