Proper Brands in Missouri is hiring a Full-Time Cannabis Culinary Packager at our Rock Hill facility. The role starts at $17/hour and is a non-exempt, full-time position focused on safe, accurate packaging and labeling of cannabis products, in partnership with Culinary and Processing teams.

Responsibilities

• Participate in efficient packaging of cannabis products post-production.
• Weigh and package products using packaging materials based on sales orders.
• Prepare bags, containers, and labels for packaging.
• Work with Culinary and Processing departments to meet production schedules.
• Ensure accurate labeling and identify issues with management.
• Maintain a clean, safe workspace and prevent cross-contamination.
• Adhere to food safety policies and sanitation standards.
• Lift up to 50 lbs; work in an environmentally controlled warehouse.

Our Full-Time Cannabis Culinary Packager Coordinator will work out of our location in Rock Hill. This full-time opportunity will start at $17/hour.

Responsibilities:

• Participates in the efficient packaging of cannabis products during the post-production phase. This work may include, but is not limited to:
• Working closely with the Culinary and Processing departments on critical tasks at the facility.
• Accurately weigh and package products using a variety of packaging materials based on sales orders.
• Prepare all packaging materials, including bags, containers, and labels.
• Working as part of a team to meet production schedules.
• Ensure that all packages are labeled and identified correctly; resolve and elevate any issues to management.
• Assisting in the packaging process as required.
• Ensures assigned facility area is clean and safe. This work may include, but is not limited to
• Maintaining a clean workspace to prevent cross-contamination.
• Ensuring personal hygiene is acceptable under standards set by the company before performing any production activities;
• Ensuring that all packaging equipment is clean and maintained.
• Adhering to all company food safety policies and procedures;
• Maintaining correct sanitation for workspaces to mitigate the risk of cross-contamination;
• Checking and correcting any possible health code violations;

Qualifications:

The following education, skills, and experience are required for this role:

• High School diploma or GED;
• Passion for medical cannabis;
• Ability to obtain a Missouri Agent ID by start date;
• Must be 21 years of age or older;
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment;
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

The following education, skills, and experience are preferred but not required for this role:

• Previous manufacturing experience with an understanding of operations;
• Knowledge of medical cannabis law and cannabis medicinal applications.

This position requires the ability to reach, bend, stoop, sit, stand, climb stairs and ladders, crawl into small spaces, walk on uneven terrain, endure extreme temperatures, manage personal exposure to numerous soil and air contaminants, carry and lift equipment up to 50lbs. The work environment is an environmentally controlled warehouse.
