Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Composites Technician (COPV) to manufacture flight-critical COPVs for Starship and support Starship COPV production onsite. The role requires attention to detail, ability to follow travelers and SOPs, and to work in a high-rate production environment.

Candidates should have a high school diploma and 1+ year manufacturing experience. Responsibilities include winding, curing, trimming, assembling COPV components, and ensuring quality and traceability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare COPV liners and overwrap interfaces.
• Filament wind COPVs with hoop and helical patterns; manage fiber tension and resin content.
• Operate filament winding equipment and verify winding programs.
• Cure COPV overwraps in ovens/autoclaves and monitor process parameters.
• Trim, finish, and assemble COPV hardware per drawings and SOPs.
• Follow travelers and maintain traceability and clean work area.
