Job summary

Hayden Industrial in Claremore, Oklahoma, seeks an Expansion Operator to set up and operate tube expansion equipment used to form copper tubing to tight specifications. You will ensure dimensional accuracy, quality, and safe production in a metal fabrication environment.

Responsibilities include tooling setup, inspecting parts with calipers and gauges, adjusting machines for quality, documenting production activity, and maintaining a clean, organized work area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Manufacturing or machine-operation experience required.
• Ability to read work instructions and use measuring tools.
• Strong attention to detail and quality expected.
• Basic mechanical aptitude required.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Experience with copper tubing or metals preferred.
• HVAC/refrigeration/heat-exchanger experience preferred.
• Lean manufacturing or 5S preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate expansion machinery to expand copper tubing to required diameters and tolerances.
• Set up tooling, dies, and mandrels per work orders and specifications.
• Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Adjust machine settings to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Identify defects such as splits, cracks, or out-of-tolerance expansions.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and routine machine maintenance.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
• Complete required production and quality documentation.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
