Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan is seeking personnel for our El Paso rod and refining plant to support production, safety, and reliability initiatives. The role involves assisting in unloading and preparation activities, operating mobile equipment, and maintaining a clean, hazard-free work environment.

Candidates should have at least six months of related experience, strong English communication, and the ability to learn and adapt within a 24/7 plant setting.

Qualifications

• Must have six months related experience.
• Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and pass any required written assessment.
• Ability to work in a potentially stressful environment.
• Clear written and verbal communication in English.
• Able to ascend/descend ladders and walk on uneven surfaces.
• Willingness to learn and apply new tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist in production processes such as unloading, efficiency, stripper, and anode/cathodes preparation.
• Operate mobile equipment in the plant.
• Perform labor tasks and keep facilities clean and safe from hazards.
• Meet the progression program's skill level criteria.
• Perform other duties as required by the supervisor.
