Job summary

Vertiv in Anderson, SC is seeking a dependable General Operator – Copper Department to join our manufacturing team. This hands-on role involves copper fabrication, material handling, and quality checks in a fast-paced environment, with an emphasis on safety and accuracy.

You will operate equipment, prepare parts for assembly, and maintain traceability through production reports, while supporting multiple production areas as needed.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing or industrial experience preferred.
• Ability to read work instructions and blueprints.
• Comfort with hand tools, power tools, and industrial machinery.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs safely.
• Willingness to cross-train and support different production areas.
• Dedication to safety and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Copper Fabrication Support: operate equipment such as punch presses, benders, or saws to fabricate copper components according to work instructions.
• Material Handling: move copper materials and parts using carts, hoists, or forklifts, ensuring proper storage and handling.
• Preparation & Assembly: deburr, clean, and inspect copper parts to meet quality and safety requirements.
• Machine Operation: operate basic production equipment to shape, punch, or bend copper to required specifications.
• Documentation & Tracking: complete production reports and ensure traceability of components.
• Quality & Inspection: perform basic quality checks and report defects or non-conformances.
• Safety & Housekeeping: follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
