Job summary

Jabil is seeking a Copper Brazing Technician to join our manufacturing team. You will perform precision copper brazing, interpret blueprints, operate oxy-fuel torches, and ensure high-quality joins.

Follow brazing procedures, maintain documentation, and support leak testing and rework as part of production builds. Ideal candidates will have strong brazing technique knowledge, torch handling skills, and a solid understanding of metallurgy and flux behavior.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of copper brazing processes and applications.
• Proficiency in oxy-fuel torches with precision.
• Ability to read technical drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of metal properties for joint integrity.
• Understanding of flux behavior and filler metal flow.

Responsibilities

• Join copper components by heating and applying filler metal for leak-proof bonds.
• Interpret blueprints and instructions for accurate assembly of copper parts.
• Safely operate torches and maintain heat control throughout brazing.
• Prepare copper piping assemblies, clean and assemble parts prior to brazing.
• Follow safety procedures, manage gases, and maintain a clean workspace.
• Assist with brazing furnaces, purge with nitrogen when needed, and support leak testing.
