Job summary

Genpact is seeking a Copilot Software Engineer to design and scale enterprise-grade cloud solutions across the Microsoft ecosystem for Genpact Experience. This lead role centers on Copilot, Azure stack, and integration with M365, SPFx, and Next.js/React front ends.

You will architect MS Copilot Studio/Foundry powered features, connect to Microsoft Graph, and implement secure data flows across SharePoint and Power Platform. Strong leadership and client-facing skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proven experience designing and building M365 applications and solutions.
• Hands-on experience with M365 security suite including Entra, Purview, and SharePoint Advanced Management.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric for data and analytics.
• Practical experience building AI-powered features using Copilot Studio/Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, and Azure Cognitive Search.
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture patterns: microservices, event-driven design, caching, messaging, and secure API design.
• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps using Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions.
• Comfort using AI-assisted development tools as part of daily engineering workflow.
• Strong communication skills and mentoring ability.
• Prior consulting/agency/multi-client delivery experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate cloud-based solutions on Microsoft Azure using .NET/C# as the foundation.
• Develop and maintain the front end SPFx, API, and Azure layers connecting backend services to front-ends.
• Integrate backend systems including SharePoint, Microsoft 365, and Microsoft Graph with secure data flow.
• Architect AI-powered features using Copilot Studio, Azure OpenAI, and Azure AI services.
• Design for performance, security, and scale with robust authentication and caching strategies.
• Own CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices with Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.
• Leverage AI tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude, Codex) to accelerate delivery and improve code quality.
• Collaborate with middleware and mobile engineers to define clean API protocols.
• Mentor developers through code reviews and hands-on guidance on client engagements.
• Align backend decisions with broader platform strategy across the Experience practice.
• Contribute accelerators and documentation to raise delivery quality.
