Job summary

Torrey Holistics seeks a sanitation technician to execute daily cleaning and sanitizing of production and packaging equipment in a food-safe environment. You will follow the Master Sanitation Schedule, document actions, and guide technicians in the Supervisor’s absence.

You will disassemble, clean, sanitize, and reassemble equipment such as conveyors, mixers, and packaging lines, using COP tanks, pressure washers, and floor scrubbers. Physical stamina is required for this on-site role.

Qualifications

• Must read and follow written safety instructions.
• Able to stand long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to follow sanitation protocols (SSOP, HACCP, FDA, GMP).

Responsibilities

• Execute daily cleaning and sanitizing of production and packaging equipment per SSOP, HACCP, FDA, GMP, and Safety requirements.
• Follow Master Sanitation Schedule and document actions, including corrective steps when needed.
• Disassemble, clean, sanitize, and reassemble food-processing machinery: conveyors, mixers, fillers, cookers, packaging equipment.
• Operate sanitation tools and systems: COP tanks, pressure washers, foaming units, floor scrubbers, chemical dispensers, power scrubbers, foamers, forklift.
• Remove debris from processing, packaging, and dock areas; clean spills promptly and thoroughly.
• Sanitize restrooms, offices, break rooms, conference rooms, and locker rooms when external cleaning service is not onsite.
• Maintain orderly chemical storage and extend care to walls, floors, doors, and exterior areas.
• Verify cleanliness via visual inspections and sanitation verification procedures; record results accurately.
• Possibly assist in other tasks as directed by the Supervisor.
