Job summary

Ventura Foods Llc is seeking a sanitation technician to operate CIP systems, sanitize equipment, and maintain clean production and warehouse areas. You will work with sanitation and maintenance teams to uphold safety and audit readiness.

The role requires physical work, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and flexibility to work extra hours. Prior sanitation and mechanical aptitude are valued, with training on chemical handling and MSDS guidelines provided.

Responsibilities

  • Sanitize production and warehouse equipment and areas.
  • Operate CIP systems to clean kettles, tanks, lines, and pipes.
  • Dismantle and reassemble hoses, connections, clamps, pumps, lines, or pipes for cleaning.
  • Test chemical concentrations and document results.
  • Handle cleaning chemicals per MSDS and maintain safety procedures.
  • Perform routine maintenance such as gasket replacement and lubrication.

SUMMARY OF JOB: This position operates CIP (Clean in Place) systems, clean, and maintains audit readiness in assigned areas and other areas of the building Duties and responsibilities. Responsible for sanitizing machinery and cleaning of production and warehouse areas.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Maintain a positive and cooperative attitude while working with the sanitation and maintenance teams.Responsible for sanitation of all equipment and cleaning of all areas in Production and Warehouse. Equipment includes machines, pumps, valves and tanks. Areas for cleaning include ceilings, walls, and floors.Cleans by CIP system kettles, tanks, lines, pumps, pipes, floors, walls and other areas and types of equipment as assignedDismantles and reassembles hoses, connections, clamps, pumps, lines, or pipes and clean per Standard Operating ProceduresPerforms routine maintenance, such as gasket replacement, O-Ring replacement, fill tube straightening, pump seals, lubrication of parts and fitting replacement.Maintains current knowledge for use of all chemicals used. Handles cleaning chemicals according to MSDS and safe handling procedures; Tests chemical concentrations in COP Systems and documents results in titration record.Knowledge and understanding of chemicals, cleanliness, and odors • Visual acuity needed for color coded equipment for cleaning and chemicalsMechanical ability required for break down and reassembling of all equipment during sanitation process.Knowledge of safe work habits to ensure proper use of safety equipment provided.Responsible for communicating and working well with fellow employees.Any/ all other job duties as assigned.QUALIFICA TIONS: Must be a self-starter and have the ability to work well with little supervision. Constant climbing, bending and reaching.
