Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking a COP procurement and sales-support specialist to promote COP products and negotiate favorable terms based on tonnage. You will collaborate with sales teams and OpCos to optimize cost and ensure superior product selection.

The role emphasizes market awareness, vendor relations, and cross-functional teamwork, with a focus on educating the sales force about COP items and opportunities in a dynamic foodservice market.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in sales/marketing within the foodservice industry.
• Previous COP (Center of the Plate) experience.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Obtain optimum cost of goods sold by leveraging purchasing based on tonnage.
• Build relationships with suppliers, sales, OpCo staff, and customers.
• Support sales with education, training and demonstration of COP items as necessary.
• Communicate negotiated deals broadly to take full advantage.
• Negotiate pricing and purchasing deals with vendors/suppliers.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
