Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, commercial art, studio art, or a closely related field.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Creative Cloud.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Project, time-management, and organizational skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a team with leadership, clients, project stakeholders, and vendors.
• Experience with content management systems and working knowledge of HTML and CSS.
• Staying current with emerging graphic design, web, multimedia and production technologies.
• Maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to communicate in person or by other technology.
• Prolonged computer use and frequent travel; state vehicle provided.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and perform graphic design for agency print, digital, and web-based products.
• Develop and maintain the agency’s visual identity, branding standards, and official logos.
• Design professional materials including annual reports, surveys, brochures, publications, newsletters, and event materials, plus social media graphics.
• Create concepts, proofs, and mockups that meet agency standards and produce final deliverables.
• Manage and maintain DOCJT and KYPCIS websites with layout, content organization, and updates.
• Use CMS and apply HTML and CSS to support effective online presentation.
• Research and recommend web tools, platforms, and practices to improve digital communication.
• Develop and plan digital content for distribution via agency websites and email platforms.
• Produce the monthly Dispatches newsletter and support other emails via Granicus GovDelivery and Mailchimp.
• Prepare, edit, update, and format visual content for distribution and output.
• Coordinate with supervisor, executive staff, and stakeholders to deliver professional visual products.
• Provide graphic design and multimedia support for agency events and affiliated initiatives.
• Support livestreaming of graduations and ceremonies by operating production equipment.
• Research and maintain awareness of relevant software.
• Coordinate with printers, vendors, and service providers for production needs.
• Prepare materials for prepress and final output and review proofs with vendors.
