Job summary

Pilot Company (SSC) seeks a merchandising support specialist to assist with monthly promotional plans and product tracking for merchandising projects in Knoxville. You will help with rollouts, signage, and coordination across departments and vendors.

The role focuses on store-level execution, project coordination, and ensuring timely delivery within the supply chain, with a strong emphasis on customer and store support.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in retail or business is preferred.
• Minimum one year of retail store or merchandising experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support Category management with rollouts and signage development.
• Collaborate with departments to execute marketing and merchandising projects.
• Coordinate with vendors to implement marketing plans across channels.
• Execute detailed project plans with the Category team and create in-store guides.
• Track product delivery and programs to stores and through supply chain.
• Provide telephone and email support for store-level questions and issues.
• Set up promotion plans and shelf signage for in-store execution.
• Model behavior that supports the company’s purpose and guests' needs.
• Ensure activities comply with rules, policies, and procedures.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

The purpose of this job is to provide day‑to‑day Category support by assisting with the execution of monthly promotional plans and ongoing product tracking for merchandising projects.

1. Support the Category management team with rollouts, test initiatives, and signage development processes
2. Collaborate with other departments to ensure execution of marketing and merchandising projects
3. Work with vendors to execute marketing plans through distribution channels and into the stores
4. Execute detailed project plans with Category management team and create instruction guides for in‑store set up
5. Track delivery of products and programs to stores and through supply chain
6. Provide telephone and email support to troubleshoot store level questions and issues related to the category
7. Set up promotion plans and shelf signage for in‑store execution
8. Model behaviors that support the company’s common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest level
9. Ensure all activities are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
10. Complete other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree with a concentration in retail, or business preferred
• Minimum one year retail store or merchandising experience preferred
