Job summary

DSV – Global Transport and Logistics is seeking a Coordinator, Traffic Control to manage inbound/outbound shipments, direct truck drivers, and maintain yard flow for operations. The role supports a 6pm–6am rotating schedule on a 2-2-3 cycle, with the potential to impact efficiency and safety across the facility.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma (some college preferred), strong PC skills (Excel/Word/Outlook/PowerPoint), and experience with WMS, MRP, and YMS systems.

• Some college preferred.
• Strong PC skills with Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Able to meet data entry standard of 7,000 keystrokes per hour.
• RF experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct truck drivers to assure trailers are located in correct yard location.
• Promote efficiencies through optimal trailer placement location.
• Administer truck traffic and validate paperwork.
• Provide proper paperwork to truck drivers and maintain inventory records in the system.
• Assure safety requirements are maintained and conduct cargo/equipment inspections.
• Maintain a safe, clean office area and assist with daily yard checks and reports.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments and maintain yard flow and inventory for operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Direct truck drivers to assure trailers are located in correct yard location
• Promote efficiencies through optimal trailer placement location
• Administer truck traffic, including:
• Validate paperwork and trailer marking match
• Provide proper paperwork to truck drivers
• Maintain accurate inventory records in the computer system
• Assure safety requirements are maintained
• Provide inspection of truck cargo/equipment as required
• Maintain clean, organized, safe and secure office area
• Manage and record daily production reports and yard checks by working in close cooperation with drivers and client representatives
• Perform other projects and duties as assigned
• The associate is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Prolonged walking is required
• Must be able to pass any federal/state/local government, airport, or company-required background checks, clearances, and/or drug and alcohol tests.

REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

Education & Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required, some college preferred

Prefer 2-4 years work experience and/or other training

Strong PC skills along with working knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint

Other Skills:

• Strong PC skills along with working knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
• Ability to meet data entry standard of 7,000 keystrokes per hour. Able to use various computer systems (WMS, MRP, YMS etc.)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in an industrial environment
• Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety vest, safety glasses, and any other PPE required by the safety analysis
• RF experience

For this position, the expected base pay range is $20.50 - $25.63 Hourly. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location, in accordance with applicable laws and company policy.
