Job summary

DSV – Global Transport and Logistics in New York, Inwood, is seeking a Traffic Control Coordinator to coordinate inbound and outbound shipments and maintain yard flow and inventory for operations.

You will intake, compile, and maintain BOLs and records with high accuracy and timeliness, direct truck drivers, ensure proper trailer placement, and uphold safety and SOP guidelines on a 2-2-3 schedule (days and nights). This full-time role offers hourly compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating inbound/outbound shipments.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and wear PPE.
• Strong data entry and documentation accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Direct truck drivers to ensure trailers are located in the correct yard location.
• Promote efficiencies through optimal trailer placement location.
• Validate paperwork and trailer marking match.
• Provide proper paperwork to truck drivers.
• Maintain accurate inventory records in the computer system.
• Assure safety requirements are maintained.
• Provide inspection of truck cargo/equipment as required.
• Maintain clean, organized, safe and secure office area.
• Manage and record daily production reports and yard checks with drivers and client representatives.
• Follows SOP and safety guidelines.
• Maintain a high level of quality in work performed.
• Communicate with multiple departments on inbound arrivals.
• Perform other projects and duties as assigned.

Job Overview:

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, wear all site required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and Walk/Stand/Sit for a 12 hour shift with or without accommodation.

May be required to work overtime.

For this position, the expected base pay range is$23.00 – $23.00 Hourly. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location, in accordance with applicable laws and company policy.
