Northside Hospital seeks a Sterile Processing Supervisor to coordinate daily operations and guide staff in instrument sterilization and supply management. This role works closely with the department manager to ensure efficient sterile processing across Surgical Services.

Ideal candidates bring multiple years in sterile processing and some supervisory experience, with strong prioritization and problem-solving abilities to maintain surgical readiness and quality care.

Qualificações

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Five (5) years sterile processing or related field experience with demonstrated knowledge of instrument sterilization techniques, Sterile Processing policies and procedures, purchasing activities, and surgical procedures.
• One (1) year or more Sterile Processing or related field supervisory experience.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate day-to-day activities with twenty-four (24) hour accountability for the Sterile Processing department.
• Work independently alongside the manager to lead the supervisors and staff in providing sterile instrumentation and supplies as needed.
• Support Surgical Services and numerous other areas within the organization with sterile instrumentation and supplies as needed.

REQUIRED:

• 1. High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2. Five (5) years sterile processing or related field experience with demonstrated knowledge of instrument sterilization techniques, Sterile Processing policies and procedures, purchasing activities, and surgical procedures. Or Three (3) years experience as Surgical Technologist or Registered Nurse operating room experience.
• 3. Demonstrated ability to set priorities and make appropriate supervisory decisions. Must possess good problem solving skills.
• 4. One (1) year or more Sterile Processing or related field supervisory experience.

PREFERRED:

• 1. Two (2) year or greater college degree
• 2. National certification in specialty.
