University of Central Oklahoma is seeking a Coordinator to oversee registered student organizations, provide development opportunities for student leaders, and guide two fraternity and sorority governing councils.
The role includes managing student activity budgets, advising councils on governance, and coordinating with campus partners to ensure programs align with university policies and safety standards at the Edmond campus.

This position typically works 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday throughFriday at UCO's main campus in Edmond, Oklahoma.
The coordinator is responsible for the oversight of registeredstudent organizations, training and development opportunities forstudent leaders, and the guidance of two fraternity and sororitygoverning councils. This position provides training and developmentopportunities for student leaders and works collaboratively withother team members to foster cross-council collaboration andenhance the overall student organization experience at Central .The coordinator provides information and resources to students,advisors, and campus partners regarding event management practices,safety, and compliance with university policies to ensureorganizational effectiveness and responsible operations. This rolemanages student activity-funded budgets and requires the ability toexercise judgment and make decisions of significance whileutilizing discretion. It is imperative this position activelyengages in program development reflective of the Student EngagementValues and advises student leaders through the Central Six tenetsof Transformative Learning. The coordinator reports to the Directorof Student Engagement and has been identified by Federal Law as aCampus Security Authority (CSA), with significant student andcampus responsibilities.

Requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field and 2+ years ofexperience, or an equivalent combination of education andexperience in one of the following: student affairs, leadership,student organizations, fraternity and sorority life. Combination ofeducation and experience should provide knowledge of fundamentaltheories, principles, and practices in student development andhigher education. Demonstrated ability to apply professionalexpertise to achieve departmental and institutional goals. Musthave a valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
Master’s degree in College Student Personnel, Higher Education, ora related student affairs field. Professional or graduate-levelexperience advising student organizations and/or fraternity andsorority life governing councils. Experience coordinatingrecruitment or intake processes, risk management education, andstudent leadership development initiatives, and event planningprocesses. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain collaborativerelationships with students, alumni advisors, inter/nationalorganization representatives, and campus partners. Knowledge of CASProfessional Standards for Higher Education.
Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.Strong organizational and time management skills with the abilityto manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Abilityto think critically, assess complex situations, and exercise soundjudgment in decision-making. Demonstrated ability to workindependently and collaboratively within a team-orientedenvironment. Knowledge of student development theory, riskmanagement principles, and higher education policies andprocedures. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (particularlyExcel) and experience with student engagement platforms such asCampusGroups or similar systems preferred. Ability to design andfacilitate educational workshops and training sessions for diversestudent audiences.
