NWABSD invites applications for an Ambler/Shungnak Itinerant School Counselor. The role supports NWABSD students with career education and pathways, traveling to remote villages to provide logistical, technical, and academic guidance in alignment with federal, state, and career standards.
The counselor will develop Individual Learning Plans, collaborate with local educators, and coordinate with post-secondary institutions and employers to create internships and experiential opportunities.
Bachelor's Degree with valid Alaska Type A teaching certificate required Four-year college degree required.
Type 'A' Teaching Certificate required.
Successful experience working with Native American students. Experience with post-secondary/vocational education preferred. Experience with CTE, pathways and Perkins format.
Five years educational experience preferred.

To assist all aspects of ReadiSTAR. To provide NWABSD students logistical, technical and academic support for career education and career pathway development in compliance with federal, state, regional and career standard
Salary and work year to be established by the NWABSD Board of Education.
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the provisions of the Board Policy.
