Job summary

  • Educates local businesses on partnership opportunities to secure contract work.
  • Extensive involvement in the procurement of potential jobs and the bidding process necessary to attain these tasks.
  • Identifies corporate partners for job opportunities.
  • Develops standard protocols for industries.
  • Educates and monitors industry staff on DOL regulations.
  • Assists with building transition plans between local schools and the industries.
  • Fosters and maintains the partnership with GOC board and staff and other local associations.
  • Maintains DOL certifications.
  • Performs time studies.
  • Monitors monthly contract expense reports.
  • Assists with recording production.
  • Reviews Quarterly Production Analysis.
  • Participates in agency continuing quality improvement (CQI) activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Assist in marketing and securing job opportunities for DD and SMI consumers. Working knowledge of Department of Labor regulations related to consumers.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School diploma and 4 years of experience in business or industry setting; or Associates Degree and 2 years’ experience; or Bachelor’s degree.

SKILL SETS:

Adequate communication skills, process verbal and written instructions, dependable, interact effectively with the public and staff, adaptability (able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events), and strong sense of commitment. Knowledge of computers and math skills needed.

PHYSICAL AND ENVIORMENTAL DEMANDS:

Visual acuity necessary for updating files and completing documents. Requires frequent stooping, kneeling and crouching to file records. Hearing and talking is necessary to answer phone and talk with employees and other individuals. Work is light with walking, standing, lifting and sitting. Manual dexterity is required to perform work processing and other clerical duties. Possible exposure to blood borne pathogens, biohazardous waste, hazardous waste and communicable diseases.
