Job summary

Broward Health in Fort Lauderdale, FL seeks a System Preference Card Coordinator to manage and update surgical preference cards in the EPIC/OpTime system. You’ll align instrument sets, supplies and staff across operations to minimize delays and waste, ensuring rooms are stocked for procedures and patients have what they need.

This role requires hands-on experience in multiple surgical specialties, strong terminology knowledge, asepsis principles and cross-department teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent AND completion of an accredited Surgical Technology Program.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in multiple surgical specialties as a surgical technician.
• Knowledge of surgical instrumentation, supplies and equipment.
• Knowledge of medical and surgical asepsis and infection control principles
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Verbal and non-verbal communication skills
• Computer Skills for cross-department work

Responsibilities

• Update and maintain surgical preference cards in the EPIC/OpTime system.
• Travel to Broward Health hospitals as needed.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure OR readiness and supply accuracy.
