Saint Joseph Hospital - Elgin is seeking a Perspective Pay Systems Coordinator to manage IRF-PAI processes, ensuring accurate RIC/CMG and PPS payment under the rehab PPS. You will educate staff on FIM scoring and CMS rules, audit charts for accuracy, and support physician admission documentation to optimize reimbursement.
Per diem position, working days on site with a collaborative interdisciplinary team and a focus on regulatory compliance and quality indicators.
The Perspective Pay Systems Coordinator (PPS) Coordinates, assesses, monitors and evaluates the IRF-PAI (Inpatient Rehab Facility-Patient Assessment Instrument) process, which determines a patient’s RIC (Rehab Impairment Category), CMG (Case Mix Group) and payment under the rehabilitation Prospective Payment System and the outcome measurements. Functions as a vital member of the interdisciplinary team. Is knowledgeable and up-to-date on Medicare regulations affecting the Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility, so that appropriate reimbursement can be achieved. Educates and assures staff is UDS Certified in FIM scoring. Audits charts to assure staff competency and accuracy with FIM guidelines and CMS Quality Indicators. Educates physicians on admission criteria and clinical documentation to support admission and reimbursement. Performs other duties as assigned.
Saint Joseph Hospital - Elgin offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $37.12. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
