Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking a highly skilled Pathology Point of Care Coordinator to develop and oversee a comprehensive POCT program, covering multiple sites. You will collaborate with clinical staff, IT and billing to implement standardized procedures and robust data management.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee an integrated Point of Care Testing (POCT) system, including satellite locations.
  • Assist in standardizing procedures, training, competency and assessment tools.
  • Coordinate with IT and Billing, and maintain data management for POCT.
  • Ensure documentation and compliance with CAP, Joint Commission and CLIA regulations.

Moffitt has been recognized as a Best and Brightest Company to Work For in the Nation and is continually named one of the Tampa Bay Times’ Top Workplaces.SummaryWorking independently, under the direction of the Pathology Point of Care Supervisor, the Point of Care Coordinator is responsible for development and oversight of an integrated system for all Point of Care Testing (POCT), including satellite locations, at Moffitt Cancer Center.Working with the appropriate clinical personnel, test-site managers, distributors, and vendors, the POCT Coordinator assist the POCT Supervisor to oversee the selection and implementation of standardized procedures, policies, methods, training, competency standards, and competency assessment tools associated with POCT. Working with the Information Technology and Billing Departments, the Laboratory Information System technical support departments, and the POCT device manufacturers, the POCT Coordinator will assist in the development and maintenance of an integrated information management system using standardized testing devices and data management systems for POCT.
