Job Description

The Coordinator, Beach NTDP is a regular full-time position reporting to the Lead, BNTDP. The BNTDP Coordinator plays a vital dual role in supporting both the Beach National Team Development Program (BNTDP) and Beach National Team operations. This position coordinates essential youth development activities while managing critical logistical operations, including office administration, equipment management, and event support.

The position is located in Torrance, CA.

Requirements
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities include but are not necessarily limited to:
  • Model and uphold a culture of respect, psychological safety, and athlete-centered care in all interactions with athletes, coaching staff, and medical team members, recognizing that the foundation of elite performance is built on trust.
  • Support athlete development programming in collaborating with BNTDP staff, co-developing seasonal training content that reinforces technical, tactical, physical, mental, and team-culture standards aligned with the national-team system and USA Volleyball's Craft, Mind, Body, Heart, and Team framework.
  • Serve as the primary contact for BNTDP athletes, families, coaches, and key USA Volleyball stakeholders.
  • Coordinate regional event planning and operations, including host coordination, registration, scheduling, logistics, and on-site delivery.
  • Coordinate program evaluation, data collection, feedback systems, and continuous-improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with budget forecasting, Value-in-Kind (VIK) allocation, and program office operations.
  • equipment inventory, stockroom procedures, shipping, receiving, distribution, and delivery/pickup systems.
  • Support BNTDP regional communications, digital content, membership services, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Provide operational and logistical support for the BNTDP Accelerator Program, including travel coordination, program organization, shipping, equipment distribution, and event-related logistics.
  • Coordinate communication and organization with the Marketing team; develop press briefs and releases for BNTDP programs and Beach National Teams; and contribute to department-wide marketing and social media strategy development and execution.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of two years of demonstrated experience in event management.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with inventory software and database systems.
  • Be able to safely and comfortably lift, transfer and store up to 50 pounds.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills.
  • Exhibits excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Displays proficiency with computers and office productivity software.
  • Demonstrates reliability and ability to perform under pressure.
  • Must be a self-starter with initiative and a focus on details.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of and interest in applying measurement and analysis techniques.
  • Work experience with Sports Organization(s) is preferred.
  • Exhibits experience with various coaching and instructional techniques to maximize learning across the physical, tactical, technical, and mental aspects of player development preferred.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Sport Management or related field (or equivalent work experience) preferred.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a USAV background screening (before the hire date).
  • Must successfully complete SafeSport training within two weeks of the hire date. Training must be maintained throughout employment.
Salary:

$24 - $26.00/hr.
