Qualifications

  • NYC DOE fingerprint clearance is required.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the school health program.
  • Supervise, train, and evaluate clinical support staff.
  • Provide primary care services to children and adolescents; conduct health assessments, exams, and screenings.
  • Order and review diagnostic tests; develop treatment plans and patient education.

Join WCS Healthcare Partners as a leader in a school-based health program, where you will have the opportunity to provide primary care services to pediatric patients while managing the daily operations of the program. This role offers a unique blend of clinical care, staff supervision, compliance oversight, and program management, all aimed at improving healthcare access for students and supporting a high-quality school-based health program.

Responsibilities
  • Program Leadership
    • Oversee daily operations of the school health program
    • Supervise, train, and evaluate clinical support staff
    • Maintain supplies, medications, and medical equipment
    • Monitor program quality, regulatory compliance, and reporting requirements
    • Assist with budgeting, grant management, and program planning
    • Build strong relationships with school personnel and community partners
  • Patient Care
    • Provide primary care services to children and adolescents
    • Perform health assessments, physical exams, and screenings
    • Order and review diagnostic tests
    • Develop treatment plans and provide patient education
    • Coordinate referrals to specialists and community services
    • Maintain accurate and timely medical records
  • Additional Duties
    • Collaborate with supervising physicians and healthcare teams
    • Participate in quality improvement activities and staff meetings
    • Support community outreach and health education initiatives
    • Provide on-call phone coverage as scheduled
    • Maintain all required licenses and continuing education requirements
    • Participate in School Advisory Board activities as needed
Requirements
  • Active New York State Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license
  • Pediatric NP Board Certification (if applicable)
  • Current CPR and Infection Control certifications
  • Medicaid and Medicare provider enrollment required
  • NYC DOE fingerprint clearance required
  • 2 years of clinical experience
  • Previous supervisory or administrative experience preferred
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Bilingual Spanish a plus
