Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Plans and executes orientation programs for new students entering the University.
  • Plans and executes campus tours and events, such as Open House, etc., for prospective students of the University.
  • Works with academic departments and other university offices to coordinate the new student orientation program.
  • Maintains accurate and current data in the customer relationship management system (CRM) for Orientation, campus tours, and other events.
  • Assists in preparing, compiling, and analyzing evaluations and surveys for new student orientation programs.
  • Assists in preparing and revising media presentations, publications, training manuals, and reports used by the Admissions Office for new student orientation and campus tours.
  • Assists in recruiting, selecting, and training student workers who work with campus tours and the new student orientation program.
  • Assumes primary responsibility for supervising student workers who work with campus tours, the orientation program, and general office tasks.
  • Assumes primary responsibility for maintaining and management of the online orientation platform.
  • Interviews, hires, and trains student workers who work with campus tours and the new student orientation program.
  • Assumes primary responsibility for supervising student workers who work with campus tours, the orientation program, and general office tasks.

Job Summary

This position is responsible for the coordination of the New Student Orientation programs and other Admissions events and campus visits at Middle Georgia State University.

Event Management (50%)
  • Plans and executes orientation programs for new students entering the University.
  • Plans and executes campus tours and events, such as Open House, etc., for prospective students of the University.

  • Maintains accurate and current data in the customer relationship management system (CRM) for Orientation, campus tours, and other events.

Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university
Other Required Qualifications
  • Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver's license issued by the State of Georgia for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.
Required Experience
  • Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having had a similar position for one to two years.

  • Project management experience.
  • Experience managing staff and/or student workers.
  • Salesforce administrator level experience.
