Job summary

Pilgrim’s in Nacogdoches, TX seeks a Business & Operations Analysis professional to direct projects at a Processing Plant and Live Operations within a complex. You will partner with Operations and Support teams, focusing on safety, quality assurance, engineering, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in engineering, science, or business preferred.
• 2–5 years of manufacturing experience, poultry preferred.
• Willingness to relocate and travel as needed.
• Experience with production optimization and waste reduction is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead facility Management Method efforts as a business partner with Pillar owners.
• Identify KPI gaps and drive continuous improvement projects using Operational Excellence.
• Develop and manage process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
• Teach and support Management Pillar tools and training across the location.
• Analyze metrics and lead self-assessment activities for Management Method.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Th is position is responsible for directing projects and initiatives at a Processing Plant and Live Operations across a Complex of the Comp any. Working closely with the o perations t eams as well as Support departments including but not li mited to s afety, human resources, food safety and quality assurance, e ngineering, p lant operations p ersonnel , live operations and upper m anagement .

R esponsibility:

• Lives and reinforces Safety as a condition in all activities
• Leads assigned facility’s Management Method efforts by functioning as a business partner with each Pillar owner.
• Responsible for proactively working with facility management to identify and assess KPI gaps, and lead continuous improvement projects using Operational Excellence methodologies .
• Develop and manage process improvements for achieving measurable efficiency, cost reduction, variation reduction, flow optimization o r performance improvement gains.
• Co-own the Management Pillar implementation by teaching all its tools, training personnel, serving as support and continuously improving the materia l to support the location.
• Demonstrates ownership of core tools :

  • Writing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures
  • Statistical Process Control
  • Root Cause Analysis
  • Kaizen Events
  • Labor Management
• Update and analyze key metrics for the assigned complex or business unit .
• Leads self-assessment activities for Management Method.
• Develop and train process owners with methods for continuous improvement and control as new processes are implemented.
• Support with working knowledge of labor standards principles, time studies and labor reports , a nd facilitate the sharing of best practices throughout the company networ k .
• In conjunction with the other members of the Operational Excellence management team, participate of meetings as required.

Education:

Undergraduate Degree , (Prefer Engineering, Science, or B usiness focus)

Experience:

• 2 - 5 years manufacturing industry experience (preferably in poultry)
• At least 1 year in Pilgrim’s
• Background in ZBB or production
• Willingness to relocate.
• Availability to travel to learn and/or support in other Pilgrim’s locations.
• Ability to work any hours as needed, flexible to work various shifts.
• Desire for career advancement and growth within the organization, while maintaining commitment to the Vision and Values.
