Job summary

Towson University is seeking a Coordinator of Campus Programming to lead in developing programs and services that facilitate student involvement and enhance the overall student experience on campus. The role supervises CAB advisement and coordinates with the Programming team to implement traditional Student Activities programs.

The position requires a flexible schedule with regular evenings and weekend hours, and telework may be available up to two days per week after 90 days of service in good

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated strong problem-solving skills with the ability to develop practical solutions to achieve organizational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Advise the Campus Activities Board (CAB) in operations, meetings, budgeting, and event planning.
  • Coordinate and implement CAB signature events (e.g., Fall Fest, TigerFest) including coordinating with entertainment agencies and contract negotiations.
  • Collaborate with the Campus Programming team to implement traditional programs.
  • Supervise a team of campus programming undergraduate student employees in collaboration with the Graduation Assistant.
  • Support department programming that meets diverse interests and needs.
  • Assist the CAB in coordinating with partners for Welcome to TU, Family Weekend, Homecoming and other campus events.
  • Assist the Assistant Director with assessments and evaluations of Student Activities programs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

The Coordinator of Campus Programming will lead in developing programs and services designed to facilitate student involvement and enhance overall student experience through campus programs and services. The coordinator is responsible for the advisement of the Campus Activities Board and the coordination and collaborating with the Programming team to implement other traditional Student Activities programs.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Advise the Campus Activities Board (CAB) in all operations, meetings, retreats, budgeting, and planning and implementation of CAB events.
  • Coordinate and implement CAB signature events such as Fall Fest and TigerFest. Responsibilities include, but not limited to, contacting entertainment agencies, negotiating contractual agreements, and event coordination.
  • Collaborate with members of the Campus Programming team to coordinate and implement traditional signature programs.
  • Supervise a team of campus programming undergraduate student employees in collaboration with the Graduation Assistant.
  • Support department collaborative programming that meets diverse interests and needs.
  • Assist the CAB in coordinating with collaborative partners for events including, but not limited to, Welcome to TU, Family Weekend, Homecoming, and other campus tradition events.
  • Support the Assistant Director of Campus Programming with implementing and analyzing assessments and evaluations of Student Activities programs and services.
  • Other duties as assigned.

This position requires a flexible work schedule, including regular evening and weekend hours.

Telework may be available for this position up to two days per week following the completion of 90 days of service in good standing.

Qualifications and Skills

Required Qualifications:

  • One year of related experience.
  • Demonstrated strong problem-solving skills with the ability to develop practical solutions to achieve organizational goals.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Peoplesoft and campus engagement platforms.
  • Knowledge and evidence of program planning experience, specifically in inclusive excellence, belonging and community engagement.
  • Demonstrated experience of working in a diverse setting.
Salary and Benefits

Targeted hiring range is $54,000-$57,000 and full university benefits that include 22 days of annual leave, up to 17 holidays, personal and sick days; excellent health, life, and retirement plans; and tuition remission.
