Job description

Position Title: Coordinator, Marketing and Communications

Position Classification: Regular; Nonexempt; Full-Time; 40 hours/Week

Reports to: Managing Director, Marketing and Communications

Location: Employees in this role can work from our Boston, MA office, remotely within the U.S. or hybrid of these two options (less than 5% domestic and/or international travel)

Please note that we do not sponsor U.S. work authorization for this role.Candidates must be able to legally work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.

Position Overview:

The goal of the Marketing and Communications team is to grow support for PIH's work and mission through dissemination of inspiring stories with the right message, to the right audience, utilizing channels efficiently. The Coordinator works closely with the leadership of the team to support, coordinate, and maintain key initiatives. The ideal candidate is a creative, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Responsibilities:

Project Coordination and Support (70%)

  • Assist the MarComms Leadership in triaging incoming project requests and keeping existing project on track by utilizing Asana and other project management tools to build and monitor project tasks and provide regular updates and status reports.
  • Manage the day-to-day follow up with various PIH teams to secure approvals and delivery of required content asset.
  • Partner with Leadership to prepare comprehensive campaign/project wrap-up presentations to deliver results and key learnings.
  • Support with merchandise requests and order fulfillment. Maintain the PIH Merch Portal with a standard stock of available items.

Communications (15%)

  • Maintain the MarComm's SharePoint pages and global communications resource library. Partner with the Managing Director to disseminate information across the organization.
  • Using PIH's content management system (CMS), coordinate regular editorial updates and implementation of campaign landing pages to ensure the website is up-to-date and visitors are engaged.
  • Assist with creation compelling PowerPoint/Canva presentations.

Administration (15%)

  • Organize team meeting schedules and agendas. Capture notes and action items and spearhead follow up, as needed.
  • Support and track PIH's trademark and licensing agreements, contract reviews, invoice payments, credit card reconciliations, and reimbursements.
  • Oversee and support travel logistics for team members as needed for team activities.
Qualifications: Required Experience, Education, Licenses or Certifications
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, or relevant field preferred
  • 1-2years' experience hands-on experience with coordination support, or relevant experience
Skills
Required:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with Asana
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and tight deadlines, while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Exemplary interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate effectively with culturally diverse staff across departments and country.
Preferred:
  • Experience with Canva

The starting salary range for new hires in this position is between $56,650 - $60,770/year and may vary depending on multiple, individualized factors including functional experience and job-related experience.
