Job summary

Floor & Decor is seeking a Coordinator - Logistics Operations to lead and supervise activities across receiving, storage, inventory, and outbound shipping at the distribution center. You will focus on customer service and store support while ensuring safe, efficient warehouse operations.

The role requires experience in a warehouse or distribution environment, strong leadership, and proficiency with WMS and office software.

Responsibilities

• Work within a Warehouse Management System (WMS)
• Supervise a team of 5+ employees and their workflow to maintain maximum service levels
• Ensure safe and timely loading/unloading of inbound trucks and containers
• Manage receipt of inbound purchase orders and transfers into the distribution center with documentation and communication of discrepancies
• Review daily priorities with leadership and adjust per replenishment needs
• Coordinate labeling and shipment of outbound transfers, including documentation and system updates
• Monitor open doors to prevent unauthorized entry
• Conduct daily safety inspections of packaging, product, and equipment
• Assist Supervisor with performance management and recognition
• Maintain a clean, safe, efficient work environment meeting safety standards
• Other duties as assigned

Job description

Purpose:

The Coordinator - Logistics Operations, will provide leadership and supervision for all Operational activities including: IB receiving, storage, inventory, movement and OB shipping of products, materials, supplies and equipment. This individual will focus on providing excellent customer service and general support to the stores serviced by the Distribution Center.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:

• Relevant work experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment is preferred

• Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and work well under pressure

• Ability to work independently, and/or within a team, across all levels and diverse cultures, and the ability to lead team projects

W orking Conditions (travel & environment)

This position is hourly, knowing it may include hours which exceed eight hours in a day or forty hours in a week. Working hours are subject to change due to business needs and working am and/or pm flexible shifts.
Occasional travel required including air and car travel
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate to noisy.

PHYSICAL/SENSORY REQUIREMENTS

Medium Work - Ability to exert 30-60 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20-30 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. The employee is often required to use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
