Job summary

Bakersfield City School District is seeking a Coordinator IV, Student and School Safety to oversee the district's safety operations, including bullying and violence prevention, intervention, and response, and site safety, emergency preparedness, and security threat procedures.

• 4 years of experience developing and conducting professional development/training.
• Ability to prepare reports, maintain records, interpret and explain laws and procedures, evaluate data, and make decisions and recommendations.
• Ability to communicate effectively and provide leadership and direction.
• Ability to work effectively and maintain positive relationships with employees, students, parents, and other individuals outside the District.
• Valid California driver’s license and personal car for use on District business.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Public Safety and Security or related field or equivalent combination of education, experience and training in student and school safety desirable
• Knowledge, experience, and recognized training related to bullying and violence prevention/intervention strategies, programs, and implementation
• Knowledge, experience, and recognized training in school safety planning and procedures, including crisis preparedness, mitigation, and response, and school safety laws

4 Experience developing and conducting professional development/training

• Ability to prepare reports, maintain records, interpret and explain laws and procedures, evaluate data, and make decisions and recommendations
• Ability to communicate effectively and provide leadership and direction

7 Ability to work effectively and maintain positive relationships with employees, students, parents, and other individuals outside the District

• Valid California driver's license and personal car for use on District business

Staff as assigned
