Job summary

U.S. Chamber of Commerce is seeking a Coordinator, Internal Communications to inform, connect, and engage employees through timely and creative communications.

The role supports day-to-day internal communications, events, digital content, and culture initiatives across the organization. Reporting to the senior director of Internal and Executive Communications, you will work with Communications, HR, Events, and IT to deliver impactful messages and engaging experiences for staff in a fast-paced

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 1–2 years of experience in communications, marketing, journalism, events, employee experience, or a related field.
  • Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and project-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with colleagues across the organization.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Interest in employee engagement, organizational culture, storytelling, and the Chamber’s mission.
  • Experience creating and supporting employee events, video or multimedia content, or basic design work is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the day-to-day execution of the internal editorial calendar across email, newsletters, the intranet, digital signage, video, and other employee communication channels as needed.
  • Draft, edit, and publish internal communications, including newsletter content, intranet stories, employee announcements, event promotions, and FAQs.
  • Support the production of recurring communications such as The Champion (our internal employee newsletter), including content collection, reviews, approvals, publishing, and performance tracking.
  • Maintain the intranet as a reliable source of employee news, information, and resources.
  • Support the planning and execution of employee meetings, town halls, recognition programs, and other internal events, including invitations, logistics, presentation materials, and run of show coordination.
  • Support employee engagement and recognition initiatives, employee culture-focused programs, and organization‑wide campaigns.

Position Overview

The Coordinator, Internal Communications, helps inform, connect, and engage U.S. Chamber of Commerce employees through timely, clear, and creative communications. Working across the organization, the coordinator supports the day-to‑day delivery of internal communications, employee events, digital content, and cultural and recognition initiatives that connect employees to the Chamber’s priorities, mission, and Shared Purpose. This role is part of the Communications Division and reports to the senior director, Internal and Executive Communications. The coordinator works closely with colleagues across Communications, Human Resources, the Executive Office, Events, Creative, Building Operations, Information Technology, and other teams.

The salary range for this position is $51,846.00 to $65,000.00. The actual salary paid for this position will vary based on market data, an applicant’s qualifications, relevant degrees, certifications, and other factors. Our full-time employees are eligible for benefits, including health care, vision, dental, retirement, and paid leave.
