Job summary

ILLINOIS CENTRAL COLLEGE is seeking a Coordinator - Instructional to support teaching excellence and faculty success through designing, coordinating, facilitating, and evaluating professional learning opportunities and instructional initiatives.

The role collaborates with faculty and campus partners to advance effective teaching, student success, and institutional priorities, including onboarding, mentoring, and professional development programs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in education or a related field.
  • 3 years of teaching, training, faculty development, or instructional support experience.
  • Experience with online or Web-supported learning through a Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Experience with designing and delivering presentations, workshops, and trainings.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, coordinate, facilitate, and evaluate faculty onboarding, mentoring, and ongoing professional development programs, workshops, courses, learning communities, and resources for faculty and staff related to teaching, learning, instructional technology, and institutional priorities.
  • Provide consultation, training, and support to faculty related to effective teaching practices, student engagement, instructional improvement, instructional technology adoption, and professional growth across instructional modalities.
  • Develop and deliver Learning Management System (LMS) training and support for faculty, staff, and other college stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Center for Teaching & Learning Excellence (TLE) team members, academic departments, and campus partners to develop faculty development programs, instructional resources, and learning experiences that support teaching excellence and student success.
  • Coordinate and support faculty development initiatives related to institutional priorities, including accessibility, student success initiatives, online learning, Open Educational Resources (OER), Zero Textbook Cost (ZTC), instructional innovation, and other strategic initiatives.

This position collaborates with faculty, academic leaders, and campus partners to develop and implement faculty development programs that advance effective teaching practices, instructional innovation, student success, and institutional priorities. The Coordinator - Instructional serves as a key resource for faculty onboarding, professional learning, instructional leadership initiatives, and emerging trends in teaching and learning.Compensation for the Coordinator - Instructional is $45,240.00-$52,641.60 annually.Essential Functions:This list is meant to be representative, not exhaustive.
