Illinois Central College is seeking a PT Assistant Coach for Baseball at the East Peoria Campus. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• 1 year of coaching experience in high school, collegiate, or club programs.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Collegiate playing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of teaching and coaching methods and NJCAA/NCAA eligibility guidelines.
• Strong leadership and motivational skills.
• Strong presentation skills and verbal/written communication abilities.
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work with others.

Responsibilities

• Assist with conducting and supervising sports training, practices, and games.
• Support recruiting efforts for the baseball program.
• Represent the program and college to prospective athletes and associations.
• Help establish relationships with area media to promote Cougar athletics.
• Assist with fundraising activities for the sport.
• Ensure program compliance with NJCAA by-laws.
• Aid scheduling of games and travel logistics including transportation and lodging.
• Assist with coordinating tournaments.
• Assist the Athletic Director in evaluating program progress.
