The Coordinator II, Facility Operations and Membership Sales coordinates the day-to-day operations of recreation facilities, rentals, maintenance and both University Recreation & Wellness Center (URWC) and Aquatic Center memberships. The position supports facility readiness and operational excellence through preventativemaintenance coordination, student staff leadership and development, membership operations, and high-quality customer service.

Job Description
Typical duties may include but are not limited to:
- Coordinates assigned day-to-day facility operations to supportsafe, efficient, and customer focused University Recreation &Wellness services.
- Develops, plans and implements trainings, programs, meetings,and activities within area of responsibility.
- Hires, supervises, trains, and evaluates student staffsupporting facility operations and membership services.
- Oversees all membership sales, customer support, promotions andbilling for both URWC and Aquatics Center memberships.
- Collects and analyzes data to assess and evaluate programs andinitiatives.
- Assists with budget monitoring and planning of FacilityOperations budgets.
- Conducts regular safety and readiness inspections of facilitiesand equipment and coordinates preventive maintenance, submits workorders, and ensures timely repair follow-up.
- Assists with the development, implementation, evaluation, andcompliance of risk management procedures.
- Assists with planning and scheduling of university andcommunity reservations held within University Recreation &Wellness assigned facilities.
- Assists with purchasing and maintenance of equipment andsupplies. Monitors expenditures, researches purchase options, andcreates requisitions and purchase orders.
- Assists with various special event programs for department
- Assists in establishing and implementing policies andprocedures for assigned facilities, staff, membership services, andcustomer support.
Other Duties:
- Other job-related duties as assigned.
- Serves on assigned University Recreation & Wellness anduniversity work teams or committees as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- This position requires either six years of directly relatedfull-time experience or, as an alternative, a Bachelor's degreefrom an accredited institution in Hospitality Management, Recreation, Sports Administration or closely related field and twoyears of full-time experience directly related to the jobfunctions.
- Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications or able toobtain within three months of employment.
- Experience operating a personal computer and proficient withMicrosoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
- Experience scheduling and supervising the work of studentemployees.
- Valid driver's license.
- Requires early morning, evening, and weekend hours depending onthe University Recreation & Wellness needs and programactivities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree from an accredited institution in RecreationManagement, Sports Administration, or closely related field.
- Two years full-time professional experience in higher educationcampus recreation related to the position.
- Experience scheduling and supervising the work of studentemployees.
- Experience and proficiency with recreation management software,such as Innosoft Fusion, CSI, or similar.

- Knowledge of recreation, intramural sports, and fitnessprogramming.
- Knowledge of risk management standards and practices.
- Knowledge of inventory control principles and methods.
- Knowledge of marketing principles including promotion,fundraising, and public relations.
- Knowledge of budget control principles, practices, andprocedures.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communicationskills.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize andcomplete simultaneous projects.
- Demonstrated skill with scheduling, event planning, andlogistics coordination.
- Ability to interact in a professional manner with colleagues,students, and the community in a service-oriented environment.
- Ability to work successfully as both a member of a team andindependently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to take initiative to plan, organize, coordinate andperform work in various situations when numerous and competingdemands are involved.
- Ability to interpret and apply laws, regulations, policies andprocedures consistently.
- Ability to effectively manage the work of others by providinginformation, guidance, and motivation.
- Ability to work evenings, nights and weekends asnecessary.
