Homestead-Miami Speedway has been open since 1995 following an initiative to spur economic recovery in the aftermath of Hurricane Andrew. The Speedway, founded by Miami businessman, racing enthusiast, and philanthropist Ralph Sanchez, is a 650-acre facility that features a 1.5‑mile oval and a 2.21‑mile road course. The Speedway hosts on‑track events nearly 300 days per year and generates more than $301 million annually for the region. NASCAR crowned champions in all three of its national series at Homestead-Miami Speedway for 18 straight years (2002‑19) and will again host the NASCAR Championship weekend in 2026.

The Coordinator of Event Operations is a key role at Homestead-Miami Speedway (HMS), supporting the successful execution of major events and year‑round operations. The position carries a strong sales component, including leasing track time, negotiating agreements, securing renewals, and identifying upsell opportunities. An interest in motorsports and car culture is essential to connect with clients and fans.
While this position does not currently have any direct reports, it will provide oversight and guidance to at‑track venue staff and volunteers.
Typical responsibilities include standing, walking, sitting, using hands, reaching, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, talking or hearing, and handling heavy items up to 135 pounds.
