Job summary

Ervin Cable Construction, LLC is seeking a Drafting Coordinating professional to create and modify telecommunications and permit drawings. You will generate high-quality drafts using AutoCAD and help manage design timelines in a collaborative office setting.

You'll design small extensions per customer specs, coordinate project milestones, and provide maps, BOMs, and digital files to the team, while learning new software to stay ahead in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; up to two years of telecom drafting/OSP design experience preferred.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• Coursework or internship experience in design and drafting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create or modify telecommunications and permit drawings.
• Design small extensions and small system redesigns per customer specifications.
• Produce high-quality drafts using AutoCAD or other software for mapping data and design.
• Coordinate project timelines and deliverables to align drafting with project goals.
• Provide strand maps, drafted design maps, and BOMs or digital files to the team.
• Maintain high production levels to meet client expectations.
• Learn new software and adapt to new technology as needed.
• Meet project deadlines and complete tasks under tight timelines.

What you’ll do

• Create or modify telecommunications and permit drawings
• Design small extensions and small system redesigns, in accordance with customer design specifications
• Produce high-quality drafts using AutoCAD or other specified software for mapping data and design
• Coordinate project timelines and deliverables, ensuring that drafting and design work aligns with overall project goals
• Provide necessary information to the team on a timely basis, including strand maps, drafted design maps, and BOM's or digital files
• Maintain high production levels to meet & exceed client expectations
• Learn new software and adapt to new technology as needed
• Meet project deadlines and successfully complete tasks under tight timelines
• Other duties as assigned

What you’ll need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or up to two years of Telecom Outside Plant (OSP) Design/Engineering Experience is required
• Associate'sor Bachelor's Degree in a related field is preferred
• Coursework or internship experience in design and drafting is preferred

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely: Work alone in remote locations, use keyboard and mouse
• Occasionally: Operate vehicle, climb stairs, stand, walk
