Job summary

The Juilliard School in New York, NY, seeks a Dance Division Coordinator to manage events, meetings, and projects within the Dance Division. You will serve as a key contact for several departments and help run the Summer Dance Intensive and Juilliard Dance Experience Days.

You will report to the Administrative Director and support meetings, budgets, catering, and programming, with typical hours 9:00am–5:00pm and potential hybrid work as approved.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 2–3 years of professional administrative experience in an arts organization or higher education.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work evening and weekend events as needed.
  • Understanding of the college environment and the ability to relate to students, faculty and guests.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as primary point of contact for the Dance Division with Alumni Affairs, including research and writing alumni news.
  • Oversees dance concert ticket reservations and seating with Box Office and Concert Office.
  • Manages RSVPs for student Choreographic Workshops and coordinates feedback.
  • Compiles concert program information for major Division concerts.
  • Organizes and executes Divisional Events including catering, room reservations, and invitations.
  • Provides on‑site or planning support for events with Division students and Juilliard staff.
  • Liaises with Office of Community Engagement to execute Community Engagement performances.
  • Executes Juilliard Dance Experience Days with marketing, registration tracking and participant communications.
  • Supports Juilliard Summer Dance Intensive enrollment processes and day‑to‑day operations.
  • Supports special projects with Administrative Director and Division Staff as assigned.
  • Performs other duties to support the Dance Division as needed.

Description:

The Dance Division Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all aspects of the events, meetings, and projects in the Dance Division in collaboration with the Division’s Directors. This role will also serve a primary contact for some departments within the institution for the Dance Division events as well as execute the Summer Dance Intensive and Juilliard Dance Experience Days.

The role reports to the Administrative Director.

The hours are typically 9:00am-5:00pm Mon-Fri, some evenings & weekends may be required. Hybrid work may be possible as confirmed with the Administrative Director.

The salary for this role is $57,000-$59,000 per year. The start date for this role will be August 2026.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Serves as primary point of contact for the Dance Division with Alumni Affairs, including research and writing of the alumni news for the Juilliard Journal, alumni e‑newsletters, alumni Facebook group posting ideas, and keeping current the list of dance graduates professional roles
  • Liaises with Box Office and the Concert Office to oversee dance concert ticket reservations and seating for students, faculty, choreographers, and VIPs
  • Manages RSVPs for student Choreographic Workshops and assigns student choreographers with faculty for feedback as requested
  • Compiles concert program information for major Division concerts
  • Organizes and executes Divisional Events such as event nights and cast parties, including submission of catering orders, room reservations, set up memos, alcohol monitoring, sending invitations, etc.
  • Provides on‑site or planning support for events which include dance division students, including Juilliard member events
  • Liaises with Office of Community Engagement and Division’s Directors to execute Community Engagement performances
  • Executes the Juilliard Dance Experience Days, including marketing plans, registration tracking and communication with participants, hirings, budget review, catering, and serves as primary contact for these events
  • Supports the Juilliard Summer Dance Intensive with facilitating the enrollment process for participants, planning and execution of outings and events, and day‑to‑day operations.
  • With the Administrative Director, supports special projects as required
  • Other relevant duties and support of Dance Division Staff as assigned

Experience with college‑level dance strongly preferred.
