Position Summary: Administers the credentialing process for initial appointment, reappointments, rank advancement process and the credentials document expiration process for Medical/Dental/Allied Health Staff in accordance with current Department policy and under the direction of the Director, Medical Staff Administration.
Education/Training: High School diploma or equivalent required; college or business school preferred. Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
Experience: Two years of experience in credentialing process in a JC accredited healthcare setting, preferred. Alternate experience may include at least three years of administrative experience in healthcare setting (i.e. medical billing, physician practice or managed care organization).
Licensure, Registration or Certification: NAMSS Certification as Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) or Certified Professional Medical Service Management (CPMSM formerly CMSC), preferred.
