Job summary

Versant is seeking a Multiplatform Programming Coordinator to support content planning, merchandising and operations across apps, websites, VOD, FAST channels and Fandango. You will help optimize discovery and engagement for original series, acquired programming and movies.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and 1+ year in entertainment or digital media, strong Excel skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Schedule full episodes and movies across Versant apps, websites, and VOD/FAST platforms.
  • Maintain Versant's growing FAST content library and metadata.
  • Input program data into CMS accurately and on time.
  • Distribute programming plans and keep stakeholders informed of priorities.
  • Assist in creating short- and long-term programming plans for acquired content.
  • Brainstorm ideas for content collections and merchandising across digital platforms.
  • Ensure content surfaces correctly and coordinate with operations to fix issues.
  • Support decision-making with performance reporting, audience analysis, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Assist in determining programming rights and business rules with related teams.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and strategic materials for leadership.
  • Monitor industry trends and opportunities to inform programming strategies.
  • Screen series and movies across the Versant portfolio.
  • Attend cross-departmental meetings and provide updates to the Programming team.
  • Assist in scheduling meetings, preparing materials, taking notes, and recaps.
  • Help leverage new technologies and workflows to improve efficiency.
  • Support special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.

Job Description

The Entertainment Programming team is looking for a creative, analytical, and dynamic candidate with a passion for television, film, and the evolving streaming landscape to join the Multiplatform Programming team across the Versant cable networks. The Multiplatform Programming Coordinator will support content planning, merchandising, and programming operations across Versant's digital platforms, including our apps, websites, cable Video on Demand services, FAST channels, and Fandango.

Responsibilities:

  • Schedule full episodes and movies across Versant apps, websites, cable Video on Demand platforms, FAST channels, and Fandango.
  • Schedule and maintain Versant's growing FAST content library.
  • Collect and input program metadata into content management systems, ensuring all information is accurate, complete, and delivered on time.
  • Maintain and distribute VOD and Fandango programming plans across the company, keeping stakeholders informed of priorities and schedule changes.
  • Assist in creating short- and long-term programming plans for acquired series and movies.
  • Brainstorm and pitch creative ideas for content collections, merchandising, and themed shelves across Versant's digital platforms.
  • Ensure content is surfacing correctly across digital platforms and partner with operations teams to troubleshoot issues.
  • Support content strategy and programming decisions through performance reporting, audience analysis, and cross-functional collaboration with Research, Marketing, Product, Acquisitions, Content Distribution, Social, Operations, and Fandango teams.
  • Provide support in determining programming rights and business rules through contract interpretation and close collaboration with the Acquisitions, Legal, and Content Distribution teams.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and strategic materials that support leadership decision-making, content planning, and special projects.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive streaming services, audience behavior, breaking entertainment news, emerging technologies, and content releases to identify opportunities and inform programming strategies.
  • Screen series and movies across the Versant portfolio.
  • Attend and cover cross-departmental meetings, providing key updates and action items to the Programming team.
  • Assist in scheduling meetings, preparing presentation materials, taking notes, and distributing meeting recaps.
  • Help the team leverage new technologies and workflow tools to improve efficiency.
  • Support special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.

Additional Requirements:

  • Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week. Must be willing to work in the New York, NY office.
