Job summary

Versant Media is seeking a motivated Coordinator for its Live Entertainment team in New York City. The role supports development and execution of live programming across brands such as USA Network, Oxygen True Crime, E! Entertainment, and more.

The position offers on-site work in NYC with hybrid flexibility and occasional travel for events. You will manage pitches, track milestones, prepare executive materials, and coordinate talent logistics, gaining exposure to the full lifecycle of live

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience supporting a high-profile executive/desk, ideally in entertainment.
  • Background in production or production-related work (tv, live events, or digital content).
  • Strong proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
  • Must be willing to work on-site in New York City and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain department development and production tracking documents with up-to-date milestones.
  • Manage intake and distribution of development pitches and keep the pipeline current.
  • Prepare decks, presentations, and materials for executives; support internal initiatives with data.
  • Provide off-site support to executives during live productions, premieres, and events (travel may be required).
  • Track entertainment, sports, and talent opportunities to inform programming strategy.
  • Record industry and talent news to inform strategy; contribute live programming ideas.
  • Coordinate talent logistics and act as a talent wrangler during broadcasts and red-carpet events.
  • Provide administrative support to the SVP and VP of Live Entertainment, including scheduling and travel.

** Position Overview:**

The Live Entertainment team at Versant Media develops, produces, and executes innovative live programming across our diverse portfolio of brands, including USA Network, Oxygen True Crime, E! Entertainment, SyFy, Golf Channel, Fandango, and more. From tentpole specials and red-carpet events to live talk shows and sports-adjacent programming, the team plays a key role in shaping the company's live content strategy.

We are seeking a highly motivated Coordinator to serve as a key member of the Live Entertainment team, partnering with internal stakeholders and external producers, agencies, talent representatives, and production partners to support the development and execution of live programming. This position offers exposure to the full lifecycle of live programming and an opportunity to grow within the entertainment industry.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain department development and production tracking documents, ensuring projects, deliverables, timelines, and key milestones remain organized and up to date.
  • Manage the intake, organization, tracking, and distribution of incoming development pitches while maintaining the department's development pipeline and ensuring timely follow-up.
  • Support internal initiatives by gathering data, conducting research, and creating decks, presentations, and other materials for executives.
  • Provide off-site support to executives both remotely and on location during live productions, premieres, red carpets, and other events (some travel required).
  • Maintain research and development calendars, tracking upcoming entertainment, sports, pop culture, and talent opportunities that may inform the department's programming strategy.
  • Keep current and record relevant industry and talent news to inform strategy and development.
  • Contribute original programming ideas and participate in the creative development of live entertainment concepts, including researching talent, formats, and cultural moments that can inform the department's development slate.
  • Support live productions by coordinating talent logistics, managing talent movements, and serving as a talent wrangler during live broadcasts, premieres, red carpets, and special events.
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the SVP and VP of Live Entertainment, including phone management, scheduling, meeting coordination, expense reporting, filing, and arranging travel.

Basic Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience supporting a high-profile executive/desk (managing calendars, travel, expenses, and administrative tasks), ideally within the entertainment industry.
  • Background in production or production-related work (television, live events, specials, or digital content).
  • Strong proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
  • Must be willing to work on-site in New York City.
  • Must be willing to travel for work-related business as needed.
  • Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
  • Prior experience working on live entertainment, events, or studio/network productions a plus.

Additional Information
  • Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
  • This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
  • Salary range: $26.44-$28.84/hour
