The Role

The Community Relations Coordinator partners with Community Relations colleagues across regions to support the development and execution of high impact programming that benefits underserved communities and engages Fidelity associates as volunteers. The Coordinator drives results by effectively leveraging the systems, tools, and processes foundational to the success of the Community Relations team.

This role provides hands on community relations support for assigned region(s) and flexes to meet broader team and market needs as required. Meaningful time is spent onsite and in the community to build and sustain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

Key focus areas for this role include:
  • Leveraging tools, systems and processes to support and execute high-value employee volunteerism initiatives that are foundational to serving under-resourced communities and delivering measurable business value.
  • Building and maintaining meaningful internal and external relationships, and representing the Fidelity brand with professionalism.
  • Collaborating across stakeholder groups to advance shared priorities through strategic partnerships.
  • Supporting enterprise and regional initiatives with strong coordination and operational excellence.
  • Delivering outcomes aligned to Fidelity's objectives and demonstrated community needs.

This role is ideal for a motivated professional with experience in corporate and/or community relations who is eager to grow responsibility and impact. The Coordinator supports the execution of community initiatives while developing the skills and experience required to take on increasing scope over time.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring :
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in community relations, corporate social responsibility, corporate communications, nonprofit/philanthropy, public affairs, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated understanding of-and interest in-corporate impact, community relations, and social impact strategies.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, complex environment.
  • Bring a positive, team-first mindset through adaptability, strong work ethic, and collaboration, with the capacity and drive to grow into increased responsibility over time.
  • Proven ability to work independently, navigate ambiguity, and operate autonously and with agility.
  • Experience building and managing strategic internal and external stakeholder relationships; comfort representing a corporate brand.
  • Track record of successful employee-volunteer programming, measurement, and reporting that balances business and community needs.
  • Experience working within under-resourced communities through professional and/or personal experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage audiences from entry-level employees to senior leaders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with databases, social media platforms, content management systems, and project management tools (e.g., Monday.com) preferred.
  • Willingness and ability to be onsite and in the community to foster relationships and understand local priorities.
  • Demonstrates flexibility, adaptability, and a growth mindset.
The Value You Deliver :

In this role, you help ensure Fidelity's community relations efforts are cohesive, consistent, and effective-delivering measurable business value while strengthening local communities. You collaborate with Community Relations colleagues nationwide to support strategy execution and program delivery.

You partner closely with regional leadership, public affairs teams, and business stakeholders to identify priorities, manage relationships, and implement programming that advances shared goals. You also support employee engagement and volunteer initiatives, prepare leadership briefings and materials, and track and report outcomes to demonstrate impact.

The Team :

The Community Relations team develops and manages Fidelity's community engagement and employee volunteerism efforts. As part of the team, you collaborate with peers across the firm to plan, execute and evolve high-value programs that drive meaningful change.

The Community Relations Coordinator reports to the Vice President, Regional Community Relations and serves as a key member of the regional Fidelity team-actively engaged with local nonprofit partners, employee volunteers, and business leaders.
