Job description

Rend Lake College is seeking an energetic and community-focusedCoordinator of Community and Corporate Education to support personal and professional learning opportunities for the community and lifelong learning initiatives. This position coordinates non-credit and professional development programs, builds partnerships with businesses and community organizations, supports grant-funded projects, and assists with program marketing, recruitment, and event planning. The ideal candidate is highly organized, collaborative, and passionate about connecting individuals and employers with educational opportunities that support personal and workforce growth.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Act as front line representative and liaison for the Community and Corporate Education (CCE) department to all internal and external constituents.
  • Responsible for program development and recruitment to grow noncredit, continuing education, lifelong learning, professional development and any other programs/events that fall under auspices of noncredit.
  • Work to support LWIA and WIOA projects that fall under workforce development.
  • Support reporting and project management of assigned grants and programs.
  • Assist with facilitation of Employability Skills.
  • Assist with apprenticeship program administrative needs and project management.
  • Assist with external partnerships.
  • Assist in planning, marketing, and facilitating CCE special events.
  • Develop, facilitate, and administer professional development and noncredit programs including summer youth camps.
  • Identify the needs of the community and develop course offerings and new course ideas designed to meet those needs.
  • Develop, plan, and distribute marketing materials, such as promotional brochures, flyers, and catalogs using support services of the College.
  • Calculate and process payroll for instructors and trainers based on college policy.
  • Enter the schedule and process registrations for vocational skills training and non-credit courses.
  • Reconcile records with financial reports and budgets.
  • Prepare deposits, purchase orders, expense sheets, and invoices.
  • Update and organize various mailing lists and information relative to the department.
  • Attend meetings, record and distribute minutes as required.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree; or Associate's degree with relevant experience.
  • Excellent communication and organization skills.
  • Experience in coordinating programs and events preferred.
  • Must be able to pass a background check
Salary & Benefits
  • $40,000-$45,000 or commensurate with experience
