Job summary

Clean Power Alliance seeks a(detail-oriented) Coordinator, Communications and Marketing to gather content, update lists and calendars, proofread materials, and generate content for presentations and outreach.

You will work under the Senior Director of Communications and Marketing and collaborate with multiple teams. Requirements include a bachelor’s degree and 2–4 years in communications or related fields; CPA offers health care, a 401(k)-like match, vacation, and sick leave.

Responsibilities

  • Communications Coordination: coordinate meetings, calendar coordination, and promotional inventory, and update databases and tools to keep projects on schedule and documented.
  • Event Planning and Coordination: provide end-to-end event support including venues, speakers, materials, invitations and tracking.
  • Program Coordination: coordinate outreach and enrollment for CPA’s Green Leader program, track enrollment and analyze data for outreach strategies.
  • Project and Contracts Coordination: coordinate development and distribution of customer notices, translate materials, and assist drafting contracts.
  • Administrative & Process Documentation: organize files, prepare correspondence, and maintain procedures to ensure compliance.
  • Operational Coordination: manage day-to-day tasks and cross-team communications to meet deadlines.
  • Research and Coordinate PR Opportunities: identify and coordinate award entries, events and paid media opportunities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

TheCoordinator,Communications and Marketingwill workunder the direct supervision of theSeniorDirector,Communications and Marketingandwill work closely withother staff on the Communications and Marketing team. This rolemayalso workdirectly withother teams across the organization includingGovernment Affairs, Customer Programs, Customer Careandcross-functionally withCPA’s Clerk of the Board,Strategic Accounts, and Data and Systems teams,as well as withexternalstakeholders,including contractors and consultants.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • CommunicationsCoordination:Coordinateoperational tasksas assigned includingbut not limitedto meetingsandcalendarcoordination,ordering,tracking, and storingpromotionalinventory, andupdating and managing databases and toolsto ensureprojectsstayon scheduleand documentation is current.Workwith internal teams to ensurecustomer notices, fact sheets, reports and other keycommunicationsmaterialsand contentareaccurately producedand delivered on time.
  • EventPlanning andCoordination:Provideend-to-endevent supportincluding researchingvenues,coordinating eventspeakers andmaterials,event invitations and response tracking,event setup and teardown andpost-event reporting and communications.
  • ProgramCoordination:Coordinatetheoutreach andenrollment process for customers inpromotional programs including but not limited toCPA’sGreen Leaderprogram. Thisincludesprocessing enrollments,documentingand improving processes, and working with key stakeholders to ensuretimelycompletion of the enrollment steps. Communicate with customers tonotify themof their program enrollment status and provide, where applicable, ongoing messaging about their participation.Lead outreach to customers, collaborate with stakeholders, track and analyze program data todeterminebest outreach approaches,researchand implement marketing and promotional tactics. Responsible for performance monitoring evaluation of the Green Leader program through collaboration with internal departments to ensure consistency and accuracy of data reporting. Maintain program documentation and outreach materials.
  • Project and Contracts Coordination:Responsible forcoordinatingthe development and distributionprocessofcustomernoticesin conjunction with internal teams,updating various pieces of communications collateral, translation coordination,fact-checkingand reviewing materials for accuracy.Serve as contracts liaison by tracking timelines andassistingin drafting contract content such as scope of work and timelines for deliverables. Responsible for coordinating with internal departments to develop, enhance, and document processes to update or renew contracts.
  • Administrative& Process Documentation:Organizefiles,prepareanddisseminatecorrespondence, andassistwith document preparation. Help track timelines and support the coordination of stakeholder and customer communications schedules under direction from team members. Review project scopes to ensure they are clear and consistent and highlight any inconsistencies.Responsible formaintainingthe Communications and Marketing team’s operational procedures and records by creating, updating, and distributing clear processes to ensure compliance.
  • Operational Coordination:Responsible forcoordinating day-to-day tasks for the Communications and Marketingteam, ensuring smooth workflow and communications between stakeholders to meet deadlines and achieve goals within the department. Responsible for coordinating interactions with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Research,and CoordinatePR Opportunities:Underthe guidance of Communications and Marketing team leadership, researchandcoordinateopportunitiesfor CPAvisibility including butnot limited toawardentries, events,andpaidmedia placements.

Work Location

This position is eligible for either Hybrid or Remote options. The Hybrid option requires attendance in our Downtown Los Angeles officeon a full-time basis2-3days per week on daysdeterminedby CPA, with work location on the remaining days either in office or remote. Thisincludes a transportation allowance.The Remote option requires you to be available to attend full-time inoffice days and/or field events within Los Angeles and Ventura Countiesin accordance withthe needs of the company that may start as early as 8:30am at least 2 days per week.The Remote & Hybrid options require full-time in-person attendance at organization or team-wide events 3 times per year for 3-5 days per event. All staffare required towork during CPA’s office hours Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:30pm PST.

This position is non-exemptand the salary range for this position is$90.743.24-$136,114.86with exact compensation to bedeterminedby Clean Power Alliance, dependent on experience. Benefits include health care, a 401(k)-like match program, paid vacation, and sick leave. This is not a civil service position; however,all CPA employeesare required tosubmita Statement of Economic Interests form, also known asthe Form 700.
