Job summary

Spartanburg Community College is seeking a Clinical Experience Coordinator to oversee the clinical compliance and placement components of the Health Science Division programs of study. You will serve as the primary liaison among students, faculty, and clinical affiliates to ensure experiences are educationally appropriate, supervised, and aligned with college policies.

Qualifications

Job description

The Clinical Experience Coordinator is responsible for coordinating, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating the clinical compliance and placement component of the Health Science Division programs of study. The position serves as the primary liaison between the program, students, faculty, and clinical affiliates to ensure clinical experiences are educationally appropriate, properly supervised, and consistent with college policies, program requirements, and applicable accreditation standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates student clinical placements, rotations, schedules, and assignments to ensure appropriate and equitable clinical experiences.
• Maintains communication with clinical affiliates, preceptors, supervisors, and faculty; addresses clinical concerns and supports effective clinical partnerships.
• Maintains clinical records and documentation necessary for college, programs, accreditation, and regulatory compliance; assists with accreditation reports and reviews related to clinical education.
• Monitors and evaluates student clinical performance, progression, competencies, attendance, and completion.
• Evaluates clinical sites and learning experiences to ensure adequate resources, supervision, patient diversity, and opportunities for students to achieve required competencies and program outcomes.
• Participates in program assessment, continuous improvement, student advising, meetings, and professional development.

Qualifications

A bachelor's degree and relevant program experience. Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, education, or a related field. Experience in clinical education, student supervision, teaching, or coordination of clinical experiences. Experience with programmatic accreditation, clinical affiliation requirements, student assessment, and healthcare education.

Additional Information

Evening/weekend hours and travel to other campuses may occasionally be required for scheduled events.
