Job summary

The Chronicle Of Higher Education, Inc. is seeking a Coordinator for Clinical and Virtual Laboratories to oversee daily operations, ensure safe lab environments, and promote student learning across nursing curricula.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of clinical and virtual laboratories.
• Collaborate with Nursing Administration to promote student learning.
• Maintain and update safety regulations; check equipment and provide training.
• Facilitate flexible scheduling of laboratory hours to support learning.
• Support faculty in instructional methods to develop clinical competency and lifelong learning.
• Develop policies for laboratory utilization and assist with new equipment protocols.

Job Title

Coordinator, Clinical and Virtual Laboratories

Essential Job Functions

• Manages routine and day-to-day operational activities of theskills and virtual laboratories


• Collaborates with Nursing Administration and others to promotestudent learning activities throughout the programs’ curricula


• Participates in and contributes to a safe environment in thelaboratories by keeping current with safety regulations;establishing, updating, and maintaining safety regulations withinthe laboratories; checking and maintain safety equipment; andproviding training and reinforcement of safety regulations for allindividuals who access the laboratories


• Facilitates student learning opportunities through flexiblescheduling of laboratory hours


• Supports the faculty in the utilization of instructionalmethods that promote students’ development of critical thinking,problem-solving, decision-making, clinical competency, and lifelonglearning


• Initiates development of policies and procedures forutilization of laboratories


• Works with faculty to develop skilled protocols as newequipment becomes available


• Serves as a resource for faculty utilizing simulationactivities


• Other related duties, as assigned

Qualifications

Associate degree in Nursing

Unencumbered license to practice registered nursing in Mississippior eligibility to apply for Mississippi licensure

Two (2) years’ current professional clinical nursing practice

Two (2) years’ experience in organization and management
