Coordinate Measuring Machine Programmer (CMM)
Our team in the Commercial Aircraft Group is looking for a Senior CMM Programmer to join them. You will report to the Site Quality Manager and will have an on‑site work schedule in West Falls, NY.
Salary: $95,000–$100,000 per year with benefits
Shift: 1st | 7:00 am–3:30 pm onsite, some flexibility if needed.
Interview Process: 2 rounds.
Job Description
- Program, operate, and maintain Zeiss Calypso CMM systems to ensure all products meet the highest standards of quality and precision.
- Plan, develop, and proof CMM inspection programs for complex parts, components, and assemblies.
- Devise strategies for system enhancements that assure long‑range integrity and cost effectiveness of the measurement system.
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements to ensure accurate measurement and reporting.
- Perform precise dimensional inspections, analyze measurement data, and troubleshoot CMM programs to maintain smooth operational performance.
- Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to improve part quality and measurement processes.
- Maintain Zeiss CMM equipment and ensure proper calibration in accordance with the manufacturer’s guidelines.
- Provide training to quality inspectors on CMM operation.
Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree (or equivalent) in a technical field; combination of education and experience may be considered.
- At least 7 years of programming experience, with a preference for Zeiss CMM and Calypso software.
- Extensive knowledge of complex GD&T and the ability to demonstrate above‑average skill in speaking and practical assessments.
- FAA regulatory compliance: enrollment and participation in the company’s FAA Drug & Alcohol Program is required.
