Job summary

HCA Florida Mercy Hospital is seeking a Coord OR Svc Line RN to deliver safe and effective patient-family centered care in the Operating Room (OR). The ideal candidate will provide expertise in perioperative care while advocating for patient rights and education.

Qualifications

Job Summary And Qualifications

The Coordinator is responsible for the delivery of safe, effective and quality patient-family centered care in the Operating Room (OR) and other areas of the perioperative services for all patient populations.

What you will do in this role:

• Expertise in the area of Operating room specialty: The coordinator provides expertise care and management of the perioperative specialty.
• Patient Rights: The RN will work to support and protect the rights of each patient served. Adheres to established hospital and department guidelines & protocols. Supports hospital mission, vision and values.
• Patient/Family Education: Provides patient/family education as per department and hospital policy and procedure.
• Job Knowledge: The RN demonstrates technical expertise in areas appropriate to the Unit’s patient population.
• Equipment Usage: Uses and maintains department equipment according to department and hospital policies.
• Information Management/PI: Uses and follows hospital and department standards pertaining to information management and performance improvement.
• Safety & Disaster: Supports Hospital's/Department’s Safety and Disaster Plans.
• Age Specific Criteria: Communicates and interacts with internal and external customers of various ages taking into consideration the population served.
• Attendance: Supports hospital and department objectives by adhering to attendance policies.
• Attitude/Cooperation: Reflects values and a sensitivity to HCA's ethical and compliance principles in daily activities. Demonstrates good skills in all forms of communication. Works well with others in a spirit of teamwork and cooperation.
• Dependability: Demonstrate initiative when performing assigned job duties. Collaborates with management in the formulation of solutions for resolving areas of concern.

Qualifications

• Current Florida license as Registered Nurse or Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements, including/not limited to ongoing eligibility and duration provisions)
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• 2 Years Associate Degree/Diploma
• 4 years Bachelor Degree preferred
• 1 year minimum experience in OR
