Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Cooling Controls Engineer in Buffalo to drive security into cooling control products during development and release. You will work hands-on with CAREL components, PLC environments, and network management tooling to develop and enable security features by default.

The role requires strong cooling/control engineering and software development experience, with hands-on coding across control platforms and a focus on secure release readiness.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of controls engineering or software development in cooling/HVAC.
• Hands-on experience with CAREL components and PLC environments.
• Proficient in coding within controls development platforms.
• Experience with network management controllers/cards.
• Experience bringing products through development, testing and release cycles.
• Embedded controls or networked cooling equipment experience.

Responsibilities

• Drive security enablement for cooling control products throughout the development and release lifecycle.
• Enable required security features by default prior to release.
• Write, modify, and maintain code across CAREL, PLC, and network management platforms.
• Implement security-related changes and functionality within existing controls applications.
• Test and validate controls changes for security impacts.
• Troubleshoot coding, controls, and integration issues during development.
• Support transition of products from development into secure, release-ready configurations.
• Work hands-on with cooling control components and development tools.
