Job summary

Wayne-Sanderson Farms in Waco, TX is seeking a capable worker to manually stack boxes on pallets for shipping. This full-time role requires adherence to company policies and animal welfare guidelines, with second shift hours from 4:30pm to 2:00am.

Qualified applicants should be able to lift up to 50 lbs, work nights and weekends, and pass on-the-job training. Benefits begin on day one, and a $1,500 sign-on stay bonus is offered for the second shift.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift 50 lbs plus long hours on your feet.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended shift hours.

Responsibilities

• Under general supervision, stack/load boxes from production line on pallets following specific pattern.
• Ensure stacked boxes are straight with label facing out and lot numbers turned to the outside.
• Loads ice-packed poultry on trucks as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Primarily responsible manually stacking boxes on pallets prior to shipping. Work in compliance with all company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:

• Under general supervision, stack/load boxes from production line on pallets following specific pattern
• Ensure stacked boxes are straight with label facing out and lot numbers turned to the outside
• Loads ice-packed poultry on trucks as needed
• Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but nut required

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

• Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended shift hours
• Sound work ethic, honesty and moral character

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:

• Follow departmental and company safety policies and programs
• Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times in areas where required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• May be exposed to cold (45ºF, 4ºC)
• Work around raw, live animal odors
