Job summary

Wayne-Sanderson Farms in North Carolina is seeking a general laborer to manually stack boxes on pallets prior to shipping. You will follow production patterns and ensure correct label orientation and lot-number visibility.

This role requires physical stamina and the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Other duties may be assigned as needed to support shipping operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:

• Under general supervision, stack/load boxes from production line on pallets following specific pattern
• Ensure stacked boxes are straight with label facing out and lot numbers turned to the outside
• Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but nut required

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

• Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended shift hours
• Sound work ethic, honesty and moral character

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:

• Follow departmental and company safety policies and programs
• Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times in areas where required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• May be exposed to cold (45ºF, 4ºC)
• Work around raw, live animal odors
